None other than Matt Davis, News Editor of the Portland Mercury. Matt, who also shares his POV on both his personal blog — Matt Davis Opens His Mouth — and on Twitter (as @mattdavis999), is known as a fearless & outspoken critic of Portland’s current Police Bureau practices, among other things.
I’ll be talking with him about that quote above & how it may apply to the state of journalism here in Portland right now. Where are we? Where do we need to go? How are we going to get there? And since Matt’s got that firebrand reputation working for him, I’m sure we’ll hear plenty about how PDX media producers just aren’t rising to the challenge!
