Redoing Media – Episode 5

Betsy’s guest this week? PDX.fm ‘head honcho’ Robert Wagner, who finally agrees that yes, he’s making “media” — we just need a new word now to distinguish what he does from what Cronkite & Walters do/did back in the day. He also talks about the fallacy of using an early 90′s AM radio model in a technologically-advanced world, why he hates the word ‘podcast’, and what’s ahead for pdx.fm — an all-Portland music station? PDX.am? Video? Yes, all on the way — only done his way.

He then reluctantly slips into Jedi master mode to give advice for those wanting to follow in his footsteps. (His mantra? “Don’t quit the day job.”) Listen to the show for the details, and join us next week.

Our thanks to Zach, Paul, Selma and Greg for their questions!
